Masjid India, Johor Bahru

Masjid India, located on Jalan Duke in Johor Bahru, was built in the 1950s on land purchased for RM20,000 by Dato’ Hj Abdul Majid and Haji Mohamed Ibrahim. Initially a small surau for Indian Muslims, it grew under the leadership of Dato’ Haji Abdul Majid, who became its first president with Sultan Ibrahim's approval.
